Here’s an interview that I did with Sebastian Scotney for the London Jazz News blog. Seb’s questions gave me the opportunity to reflect on how my childhood exploration of jazz had prepared me for writing my book. It also gave me the opportunity to thank a number of people who had really helped me over the course of my writing.

A sad epilogue to the interview, which was published on 11 November 2016: I noted the formative influence of The Man from U.N.C.L.E. when talking to Seb and later that day Robert Vaughn’s death was announced.
